Ron Pyron > 1. Cover of Swartz' 1907 advertising brochure. Swartz' origins: He was born in Putnam Co., Indiana in 1877. About 1878 his family moved to Decatur County, Iowa. He is listed in the 1880 and 1895 census reports as Aaron E. Swartz. His father, John W. 'William' Swartz is mentioned as a local farmer in an 1892 Decatur Co. listing. His father had a younger brother, Charles, and I think he nicknamed Aaron to be little Charlie.
