1. Mom didn't like having her picture taken when she was expecting, or 'PG' as she put it. Dad dropped her off in West Plains, Missouri about the 10th or 12th of June, 1945. (He had to be at Fort Ord, CA by noon on the 15th. The army allowed for about three days travel to the west coast.) I think mom stayed in West Plains most of the summerwith her sister Maxine, and then went out to Tulsa to stay with Aunt Irene and Uncle Dan Bonham to have the baby. She had August 18, 1945 on this picture, and it was probably taken at Aunt Maxine's on First St. She was about 7 months PG. Over Christmas, 1945, she, Irene and Dan returned to West Plains to visit mom's parents and sisters and brothers. That was the first time they all got to see my sister Sylvia, who was born at St John's hospital in Tulsa on Oct 31, 1945.
